Get Sour, Get Wild, Get Funky (Indianapolis, IN) – Upland Brewing is hosting the 7th annual Sour Wild Funk Fest at the Mavris Arts & Event Center this Saturday. April 7th and if you care about wild exotics, you need to be there. The only event of its kind in the Midwest, this year’s celebration will feature more than 150 wild offerings from more than 50 breweries, including Cascade, Mikkeller, Blackberry Farm, Firestone Walker, The Rare Barrel.
On The Big Screen – There’s a smart new horror debuting this weekend that’s actor John Krasinski’s first directorial effort (he also stars in it along with the wonderful Emily Blunt). Lean, mean and ambitious, A Quiet Place chronicles the struggles of a family forced to live in silence in a world now threatened by mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. If they hear you, they hunt you, you die…pass the popcorn please.
TV Time & Steaming – Netflix is streaming a thrilling French mini-series that will absolutely keep you up at night! La Mante (The Mantis) stars Carole Bouquet as Jeanne Deber, a famous serial killer known as “The Mantis”, who is temporarily freed from solitary confinement to help Paris police search for a psychopath whose murders are inspired by her own murderous past. Think you’ve seen this before? Trust us, you haven’t.
Drink Las Vegas! (Las Vegas, NV) – The 8th Annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer returns to “Sin City” this weekend and things are expected to get wild. Saturday’s “Grand Tasting” will showcase more than 400 hand-crafted creations from the region’s most talented brewers along with artisan food and killer music and educational seminars. Special Alert: Due to High Winds, Great Vegas will move to The World Market Center Pavilions at 207 W Symphony Park Ave.

We’re celebrating Kona Brewing’s new alliance with the LA Galaxy this weekend by watching soccer and drinking SEVERAL bottles of Big Wave Golden Ale, Longboard Island Lager and Hanalei Island IPA.
As part of their multi-year partnership and their selection as the ‘official craft beer of the LA Galaxy,’ Kona will now have its own home at the stadium. The ‘Kona Lanai” is a comfortable open-sided bar located on the south end of the main concourse and that’s where we’ll be drinking whenever we’re there.
