Spring has arrived…And we’ve some great new releases, big and small, all brewed to make this time of year even better.
Mars Returns (Kalamazoo, MI) – Bell’s has returned an intergalactic masterpiece from the first release in a series of beers inspired by composer Gustav Holst’s The Planets, that first debuted in 2014. Mars (The Bringer of War) is an enormous 10.1% Double IPA with a pungent citrus and pine nose and a deep amber hue that commemorates the composer’s first movement.
A “Code 24” Variation Sensation (Bend, OR) – 10 Barrel Brewing recently shipped their latest Code 24 Series release which celebrates the brewery’s first pale ale that debuted almost 10 years ago. Code 24 Batch #3 Anniversary Juicy Citrus Pale Ale is their original 6% ABV recipe, this time using Citra and Comet hops.
Stout Stuff (Boulder, CO) – Avery Brewing recently debuted the latest addition from their Barrel-Aging Series a smoky Imperial Stout Northwestern Scottish roots. Named after a village in Scotland renowned for their peaty style of single-malt whiskey and aged in very rare Laphroaig Scotch barrels, Avery Islay is oak-aged Imperial stout that’s quintessentially peaty and precisely balanced.
Berliner Wizened (Dover, DE) – Fordham Brewing recently debuted their first tart ale ever and we gotta admit it was well worth the wait. Fordham’s, wonderfully named The 11th Sour is a complex and timeless 3.8% Berliner Weisse that’s tempered with fresh Concord Grapes.
Feral (Portland, OR) – Hopworks Urban Brewery has shipped a promising new seasonal and it’s a pretty ferocious drink! HUB Ferocious Citrus IPA is a hazy grapefruit juice infused 6.2% ABV India Pale Ale that’s pumped out of its mind on juicy organic hops.
