Beer / Sports / Beer / Music / Beer /Camping / Beer (Brevard, NC) – Billed as a celebration of craft beer in a can and the adventurous lifestyle, Oskar Blue’s Burning Can ExtravCANza is taking place in North Carolina this weekend (July 15^th-16^th) and it sounds like a wicked good time. Burning CAN NC condenses what’s best about the craft can lifestyle into a multi-day, outdoor festival with nationally touring bands, 50+ of the best canning breweries from around the country, camping, a Beer Relay competitive trail run, paddle trips, group rides, and a premier dirt-jumping competition. On The Big Screen – We’re not sure that the world was ever asking for another sequel to Ghostbusters, certainly not one, thirty-two years after the original, but that’s the big movie that’s opening this weekend. Ghostbusters 2016 stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as an all-female team of paranormal warriors who ban together to rid
Manhattan of a ghost apocalypse. Could it suck? Possibly. Will we go? Most definitely.

Drink Serious Beer This Weekend By Lake Champlain (Burlington, VT) – Part of what makes for a great beer festival (in addition to the beer itself) is its setting. And that’s one of the reason’s we love the Vermont Brewers Festival taking place this weekend (July 15^th-16^th) on the shore of beautiful Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains in the background. This year’s two-day, four-session event will feature over 150 beers from nearly 50 of the region’s most dynamic brewers, so you absolutely don’t want to miss it! Music Mania At Pitchfork (Chicago, IL) – Celebrating its 11^th year in action, the internationally acclaimed Pitchfork Music Festival returns to Union Park this weekend and if you care about music this is where you want to be! This legendary festival is three days of music (July 15^th-17^th) and some 50+ bands. They’ll also be serving up vast amounts of serious beer including specialties from Goose Island. OUR WEEKEND BEER PICK

The ACB crew is planning on “getting stupid” this weekend and we recently received something from Lagunitas that should help us with that. Lagunitas Stoopid Wit is their 6.3% ABV hop-forward Belgian Wit hybrid that’s brewed with the summer’s heat in mind.
