So many beers- So little time… With winter waning, and now we’re beginning to see some early springtime offerings and we’ve a number of them for you. …We’ve also some great new releases from Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada that you may need to chase down as well.

A Four-Star Release (Chicago, IL) – Nothing says warming weather like the classic Pilsner, and Goose Island has just introduced a new one. First released as Blue Line in 2015, a draft-only offering that was only available in Chicago, Goose Four Star Pils is a super-crisp and clean hop-forward take on the classic German-style lager. And at 5.1% ABV, this is a beer brewed for an afternoon of drinking.

A California Rush (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing has a brand new IPA that was inspired by the Great California Gold Rush of 1849 and you won’t even have to head west to get your hands on one. Showcasing a new dry-hopping technology that was introduced by Anchor’s new Brewmaster, Scott Ungermann, Go West! IPA is a 6.7% India Pale Ale with complex tropical/pine aroma and a bitter yet clean finish. 

Romantic Chemistry (Milford, DE) – Dogfish Head has just released a new spring seasonal that’s made for romance. Dogfish Head’s Romantic Chemistry is the newest addition to their celebrated line of IPAs – a golden amber 7.2% India Pale Ale brewed with mango, apricots and ginger. The label was designed by Drew Millward, who has created iconic artwork for bands such as Foo Fighters and Phish – and features a colorful abstract interplay of the fruit-forward ingredients.

Guinness Celebrates Its Heritage With A New Porter (Dublin, Ireland) – Originally created in 1796 during a time when porters were all the rage in London, Guinness Dublin Porter is its own Irish 3.8% version of the style that they once shipped to England way back in the day. Sweet, smooth and with a burnt biscuit finish for a beer reminiscent of a different time, this Guinness Porter is a “working man’s beer,” brewed with everybody in mind.

A Sierra Nevada 5-Way In May (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada’s next Beer Camp Across America release is a collaboration that features five Northern California breweries (plus Hawaii). Bear Republic, Maui, Faction, Magnolia Gastropub and Mad River all participated in creating Sierra Nevada West Latitude Session Rye a 4.5% refresher that combines hibiscus flower, robust malts and spicy rye.
