Newbies – 5 Special Craft Beers You Need To Check Out
So many beers- So little time… Winter has started to thaw a bit, and now we’re beginning to see some early springtime offerings …We’ve also some great new releases from Summit and Wicked Weed that you may need to chase down as well.

New Belgium Ups A Kriek (Ft Collins, CO) – New Belgium Is returning a popular Lambic that knows both sides of the Atlantic. Crisp and effervescent with a bright flash of cherry the 2016 Transatlantique Kriek began life in the oaken vessels at the Oud Beersel brewery in Belgium. After it wood aged, Oud Beersel’s Lambic was then blended with tart cherries and shipped across the Atlantic to New Belgium for the final blending process. In Ft Collins, Brewmaster Peter Bouckaert used the cherry Lambic ale along with a portion of New Belgium’s sour Felix to create a full golden brew. The result is an intense cherry nose leading to an 8% ABV Kriek with a decisively sweet-tart finish

A Two Threaded Drinking Experience (St Paul, MN) – Summit Brewing has just released the latest addition to their popular Unchained Series – and it’s actually made up of two different IPAs. Us & Them: A Two Thread Brewing Experience has deconstructed Summits Sága IPA recipe and created two distinct beers – a hoppy and intense American IPA – and a complex but subtle Session IPA. Both variations are being sold as one package, allowing beer fans two explore two extreme flavor profiles that grew from an original beer recipe. Very cool!
