Another Breakfast In A Bottle (San Francisco, CA) – What’s with all these breakfast-themed beers all of a sudden? We recently reported that General Mills, the makers of Wheaties, has partnered with Fulton Brewing and come up with a special edition Hefeweizen called HefeWheaties – and now a California-based brewery is getting into the breakfast food-inspired beer games. 21st Amendment will soon be debuting Toaster Pastry a new India Red Ale inspired by Pop Tarts. Set to release on August 29th, the new beer honors 21st Amendment’s new San Leandro location  which used to be a Kellogg factory back in the day, and actually manufactured Pop Tarts on the premises.

Richmond Rules At 2015 Virginia Craft Brewers Fest (Nelson County, VA) – Richmond-area breweries walked away with 20 of 75 awards, including Best of Show, in the 2015 Virginia Craft Brewers Cup, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch and we’re happy for them. The “King Of Beers” Goes After Queen (St Louis, MO) – ST. LOUIS (AP) — Budweiser has long referred to itself as “The King of Beers.” And now its mothership, Anheuser-Busch is now going after the She Beverage Company in Lancaster seeking to block them from using the phrase “The Queen of Beer” to market their products.

Another Brewery Name We Wouldn’t Have Chosen (Sparta, TN) – It’s not as unfortunate as you might initially think, still Calfkiller Brewing (named after the nearby Calfkiller River) isn’t the first name we’d have chosen for a brewery…just sayin’. One thing’s for sure we don’t think this brewery going to run into any name litigation problems.

China on Course to Dominate the World’s Beer Sales (China) -China which is already the largest beer market by volume globally, is expected to become the largest beer market in the world by sales too. According to a new report, Assessment of China’s Beer Market 2014-2017″ China is poised to surpass the United States in overall sales by 2017.
