The American Craft Beer Quick Hits – January 11, 2016
We blame the industry for this… It used to be that when we wrapped up our Weekend Picks on Friday, we could coast through the weekend. There was little need to check in for updates – things were pretty much done. But clearly all that’s changed.
So here’s some of what’s happened in the world of craft beer while you were off enjoying yourself.

Stone Adds To Their Fresh IPA Series (Escondido, CA) – Stone is shipping two variations to their popular Enjoy BY IPA Series. Look for the Enjoy By 2/14/16 to include an Unfiltered IPA and a Black IPA this time around.

Words To Drink By (Miami, FL) – “”Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.”
Dave Barry – Author and Columnist
Tröegs Is Building Out Their Wood-Aging Program (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Craft Brewery has been exploring wood-aging ever since they introduced Scratch Beer Series. And in 2016 they’ll be expanding their brewery and creating a new space that they’ve appropriately named the Slinter Cellar to advance their growing wood-aging program. Completion date is scheduled for April – but you know how these things can go.

Men And Women Can Not Live On Beer Alone (Washington, DC) – American Craft Beer views our biz as an entertainment industry that shares pop-cultural turf with other realms like food, film and music. And every January we pick our favorites. So check out our Best Television Picks and the Top 10 Albums Of 2015 – and let us know if you think we missed anything.
