The Winter holidays are now over, yet winter remains. And American craft brewers are keeping things warm, with a big roster of new beers that suit the season.
Mighty Big (Boulder, CO) – In response to growing consumer demand for bigger, bolder flavor profiles, Avery Brewing has released a much bigger version of White Rascal, one of their most popular flagship beers.
A modern twist on a beloved classic, crafted for those looking for a more robust white ale without sacrificing balance or drinkability, Avery Mighty Rascal is an 8% ABV Imperial Belgian-Style White Ale that maintains the traditional coriander and orange zest spiced profile of White Rascal, but with significantly more body and “warmth”.
West Is Best (Durango, CO) – Ska Brewing just debuted modernized version of a classic American beer style that’s crafted with a plethora of contemporary hops. Crafted with a deft mix of Cryo Mosaic, Cryo Citra, Alora, Eureka, CGX Idaho 7, and Strata Hyperboost hops, Ska West Coast IPA is a dank 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale with a an uber-dank, citrus, peach, and stone fruit profile.

Moon Shot (New Glarus, WI) – New Glarus Brewing is renowned for its internationally lauded Spotted Cow Cream Ale. But they also offer a terrific year-round that’s equally sessionable and just as interesting. A bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside.
