The Winter holidays are now over, yet winter remains. And American craft brewers are keeping things as warm as they can with a big roster of new beers that suit the season.
Taproom Exclusive Hits Retail Shelves (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing is giving a beer that debuted in 2023 as taproom exclusive, much wider distribution this month.
Making the great leap from taproom top-seller at the brewery to shelves of specialty beer retailers in select markets across the country, Sierra Nevada West Ghost IPA is a 7.2% ABV Modern West Coast Style India Pale Ale with an aggressive hop profile, an understated malt character, and a clean finish that disappears as quick as it came.
“West Ghost has been a local favorite at both of our brewery locations for years, so it made sense to lean into what the fans are raving about and bring the beer to a broader audience,” said Ellie Preslar, Chief Commercial Officer at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “Those looking for a good beer hunt will be pleased when they track this one down. The beer is a stand-out all around, from the liquid to the eye-catching label art.”
Starting February 2026, West Ghost (love the name!) is seeing distribution in limited markets across the country including CA, CO, IL, MA, MN, NC, NY, OH, OR, SC, TX, VT, and WA, plus Sierra Nevada’s on-site gift shops and online store for direct-to-consumer shipping where legal.
An Aggressive Use Of Force (Fort Collins, CO) – New Belgium Brewing is responding to a growing segment of craft beer consumers demanding high-octane beers in BIG cans with the newest addition to its highly successful Voodoo Ranger IPA line.
Say hello to Voodoo Ranger G-Force, a massive 11% ABV mango flavored Triple India Pale Ale that comes in an equally massive 19.2oz can.
“With the enormous response to Tropic Force and Juice Force, we asked ourselves, ‘How do you top a ten? You take it to eleven,” said Kiron Chakraborty, Marketing Director of Voodoo Ranger. “Even at 11% ABV, G‑Force tastes exactly like a Voodoo Ranger should: super juicy, full of flavor, and built for lift‑off.”
