The beer biz never sleeps at American Craft Beer. And here’s just some of what’s been happening in the beer world while you were enjoying the weekend.
Montana Driver Crashes While Urinating Into Beer Can
A Montana man with multiple prior impaired-driving convictions, identified as James Howard, rear-ended another vehicle on November 8, 2025, in Missoula, Montana, after losing control while attempting to urinate into a beer can. The crash occurred on an Interstate 90 exit ramp in Missoula.
According to the New York Post, Howard told a Montana Highway Patrol trooper that he was attempting to relieve himself into an empty Budweiser can while driving, which caused him to rear-end a Volkswagen that was stopped at a light.
And the investigating trooper observed a strong smell of alcohol, slurred speech, and wet pants on Howard. A preliminary breath test later showed his blood alcohol concentration was more than three times the legal limit which is not ideal. A check of Howard’s criminal history revealed four prior impaired-driving convictions which was also not good.
Howard was arrested and faces charges of felony aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license, and careless driving. He had previously admitted to the trooper that he had “more than a couple of DUIs” and was not supposed to be driving. Fortunately, the crash did not result in any injuries. Howard’s bond was set at $10,000.
A word of advice to our readers: “Don’t even think about doing this.”
