Winter’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of new stouts you’re gonna want to have around as the nights get longer.

Darkness, Darkness (San Diego, CA) – Forged in 1995, AleSmith Brewing has been recognized as one of the world’s foremost craft brewing companies. Their beers are always worth chasing down, and the Speedway Stout variations never disappoint. And now the award-winning brewery has released a new variation of their iconic Imperial Coffee Stout that sounds uber-promising.

Crafted with literally tons of toasted coconut, layered into different processes to get the right amount in both taste and aroma,  AleSmith Speedway Stout: Toasted Coconut Vietnamese Coffee Edition is a massive 12% ABV Imperial Stout with rich chocolate malt notes and the deep, roasty Vietnamese coffee tones.

Odell Milks It for All It’s Worth (Fort Collins, CO) – The nights are getting longer and things are cooling down and Odell Brewing is complimenting things with the return of something special named for Odell’s longtime friend and farmer, Lugene Sas, who’s been feeding his dairy cows the brewery’s spent grain for over a decade.

Crafted with chocolate and Lactose, Odell Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout  is an 8.5% ABV uber-limited release with a rich and creamy character reminiscent of a cold glass of chocolate milk.

Stout Stuff (Cannon Beach OR) – Located just 70 miles west of Portland in Cannon Beach, Ore., Public Coast Brewing is named after the only true public coastlines in America: the Oregon Coast. And they’ve just released something worth travelling Crafted with peanut butter,  marshmallows, malt oak, and chocolate Public Coast Fluff N’ Good Stout is a 9% ABV Pastry Stout, that’s sweet, sassy and unapologetically rich.

“We’re excited to introduce a new stout to our lineup this fall,” said Ben Christianson, brewer at Public Coast Brewing Co.

“The Fluff N’ Good Stout was a blast to create — it’s inspired by the classic peanut butter and fluff sandwich, and we wanted to capture that sense of nostalgia in a bold, unexpected way. It’s rich, comforting, and perfect for the colder months ahead. We can’t wait to hear what people think of this one.”
