Encouraged by the overwhelming success of Busch Light Apple’s return, Anheuser-Busch is dropping another fruit-forward variation, and going with lime this time around.

Here’s the deal…

Let’s start with the beer, a rare release with a rabid cult following, Busch Light Apple.

When Anheuser-Busch launched Busch Light Apple in the summer of 2020, no one expected the fruity twist on a traditionally straightforward beer to catch fire as it did. Known for its rugged, outdoorsy brand image, Busch Light wasn’t the first name you’d associate with innovation—or apples. But that’s exactly what made the release so memorable.

Originally conceived as a limited-time offering, Busch Light Apple caught on quickly. When it returned in 2021, the apple-forward”  lager sold over one million cases in less than nine weeks, prompting the brand to roll out the beer nationwide in 2022.

The truth is Busch Light Lime, probably would have never happened had, Had not the return of Busch Light Apple’s return been such a raging success. People  went nuts for it with one in every three comments on Busch Light’s social posts from fans urging the brand to bring back the iconic drink, which the company smartly responded to.

Circana called Busch Light Apple, “the #1 beer innovation so far this year,” in 2025, outselling the nearest competitive innovation three times over. Since its return in May, Busch Light Apple has become the #1 fastest-growing brand in the beer industry “cementing its status as one of the ultimate summer beers,” (their words, not ours).

But Busch Light Apple wasn’t the only fruit-forward Busch light variation.  In 2023, Busch Light debuted Busch Light Peach, a limited-edition summer lager that smashed records in its first year in market as the #1 innovation across the entire beer industry?

So why not Busch light Lime?

“We’re kicking off this summer with our second seasonal drop so our fans can enjoy camping and post hikes with their favorite cold, smooth beer in hand,” said Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch…

“Between Busch Light Lime’s debut and the return of Busch Light Apple, 2025 is the summer of flavor, and our fans love our fruit-forward flavored beers. Listening to our fans and bringing them the innovations they want is our top priority.”

Fans can find Busch Light Lime in 12-, 24-, and 30-packs of 12oz cans at participating retailers in 25 states – but only while supplies last.
