2025 Bourbon County Original Stout In Smaller Bottles

For the first time in its thirty year run, Goose Island will release its Bourbon County Brand Original Stout this year in four-packs of 10-ounce bottles.. The new format, which launches on Black Friday, replaces the standard 16.9-ounce bottle it has used in the past.

This from Bottle Raiders

“Goose Island confirmed that nothing about the stout’s recipe will change; this is simply a format shift. The smaller size aims to offer flexibility for side-by-side tastings and smaller serving occasions. According to the brewery, the change reflects ‘a shift in occasion,’ with the goal of making it easier for drinkers to enjoy the imperial stout in various settings.”

But before you freak out know that this packaging change is exclusive to to Bourbon County Brand Original Stout ONLY. Other variants in the 2025 Bourbon County lineup will remain in the more recent 16.9-ounce bottles.
