Increasingly this American holiday is being treated as an afterthought, a four day weekend, a day away from work.

Maybe that’s a reflection that we’ve lived through a time when foreign conflicts, and the veterans who served in them, has become a sidebar to our lives, and that’s just wrong

The Gulf War ((1990) although highly televised war was relatively short, lasting about six weeks. The War in Afghanistan was a much longer conflict lasting two decades At its peak, more than 100,000 U.S. troops were deployed. But by the time US exited the country in 2021, the American public had moved on, and the many who served there, forgotten.

And today being Veterans Day, American Craft Beer would like to raise a glass to honor the sacrifices of the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

On this day, we remember the countless sacrifices made by service members in the line of duty. These are the individuals who put their lives on the line, often enduring unimaginable hardships, to safeguard our way of life. Whether on the front lines in combat zones, or supporting operations behind the scenes, each veteran has played a crucial role in preserving the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we commemorate Veterans Day, let us not forget that freedom comes at a cost. The dedication and bravery of our veterans have ensured that the ideals of democracy, liberty, and justice remain strong. They have made it possible for us to pursue our dreams, enjoy our liberties, and live in a nation where opportunities continue to abound.

This Veterans Day, the American Craft Beer crew extends our deepest gratitude to all veterans, past and present.

May we continue to honor them, not just on November 11th, but every day, for their sacrifices and carrying forward the values they fought to protect.
