World Of Beer Files For Bankruptcy

Founded in 2007, the World of Beer franchise chain came into its own during craft beer’s boom years. But with craft beer sales slowing the once uber-hot brand has languished and on August 2^nd it filed for bankruptcy with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida Tampa Division.

“Over the past 12 months, the chain closed 14 locations,” according to Restaurant Dive, “of which eight were company owned. It has 16 remaining corporate-owned locations and 17 franchised locations remaining, according to a joint Chapter 11 case management summary.”

15 Best US Cities For Beer Lovers

Summer is ON and beer tourism is booming. And Tasting Table, a modern  food and drink site with a global audience of 18 million monthly visitors, recently compiled a list of the Best Cities in the US for Beer Lovers in 2024.

Their top beer destinations were scored and ranked based on four different metrics: the number of breweries per capita, bars per capita, beer-tasting tours offered, and the average cost of a beer.
