Beer Vendor Violently Assaulted At Beer Festival
In November, a beer festival vendor was violently assaulted at the Dunedin Craft Beer Festival in New Zealand, sending shockwaves across the beer community and leading some to question how the situation could have been prevented according to the Drinks Business.
According to reports, “a 20-year-old man attending the festival ran towards the 19-year-old employee and picked him up off the ground before dropping him onto his head causing severe concussion.”
According to Sergeant Anthony Bond of Dunedin Police the two men were not known to each other and alcohol consumption was not been outlined as a factor in the assault, leading to questions over what actually motivated the incident. The 20-year old man was charged with assault and intent to injure.

”Yes, things are more challenging, but independent brewers still sell more than one out of eight beers in the United States.” – Bart Watson, chief economist, Brewers Association.
Total Wine & More Selling Psychoactive Cannabis Drinks in Minnesota

Total Wine & More, which has 260 stores nationwide, is the first major US retailer to start selling the drinks, that contain the part of the cannabis plant which makes you feel high.
And even though the beverages have launched in three Minnesota stores, there may be plans to extend them nationwide, reports the Drinks Business, as states continue to legalize recreational cannabis.
Cannabis Law Now thinks this is BIG news, because unlike in many states where cannabis drinks are only available at cannabis dispensers, this action is seen as a step towards a future where “alcohol and cannabis beverages “will live in harmony together for consumers.”
“It’s a big step forward for the cannabis industry, and yet another business opportunity for enterprising liquor retailers as the law develops,”
