Tröegs Brewing is as serious about art as they are about the beers they brew. And “The Art of Tröegs” contest and gallery opening is one the highlights of their year.

Starting now and running through May 1, 2022, Tröegs Independent Brewing is inviting artists and creative types to submit an original piece of art inspired by its beer, label art, packaging, employees… and even the brewery itself.

Eligible entrants can get in on the contest by creating original artwork in any medium: painting, photography, illustration, digital design, drawing, mixed media, crafts, sculpture, collage, jewelry, metalwork, carving, mosaic, stained glass, etc, along with a little story about the Tröegs’ inspired piece…

Then Tröegs panel of expert judges will choose their favorite piece and the contest winner will receive:

• A limited-release Scratch beer label will be created in honor of the winner’s artwork
• $500 cash prize
• Sixth-annual Art of Tröegs Gallery opening party held in your honor
• One night’s accommodations for you and a few friends (two rooms)
• Bragging rights for life!

Two runners-up will receive a cash prize, an invitation to the gallery opening party and a one-night hotel stay as well.

25% – Concept/Story
25% – Craftsmanship
25% – General Awesomeness!

Over the years the Hershey PA-based craft brewery  has seen everything from video games, a Smurfy miniature of our Hershey brewery, and a multi-tiered cake, to a hand-embroidered jean jacket, Tröegs sneakers and just about everything in between.

“We’ve been doing the Art of Tröegs contest for about 15 years now, and we’re constantly blown away by the creativity of our fans,” said Chris Trogner, brother and co-founder of Tröegs. “Each year it gets bigger and better.”

“Our very favorite part of the contest is the gallery opening,” Trogner added. “We get to meet our creative fans and hatch ideas for even bigger projects down the road.”

In the past, Art of Tröegs artists have gone on to craft signs for the brewery, reimage the iconic Nugget Nectar First Squeeze, and even designed beer labels for the brewery.
