October is waning with winter to come, and American craft brewers are addressing the changing seasons with more exciting offerings you’re gonna want have around.

Firestone Walker Unveils 25th Anniversary Ale (Paso Robles, CA) – On July 15 an all-star cast of Paso Robles winemakers convened at the Firestone Walker for an annual summer rite: the blending of the brewery’s next Anniversary Ale. The result is Firestone 25, another masterwork of flavor and complexity, blended from five distinct ales aged in bourbon, brandy and tequila barrels.

“This is a beer that truly rises to the occasion of our 25th anniversary,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “It represents many of the core elements that have made our brewery what it is today: exceptionally talented people, innovation, barrels, hard work, patience and beautiful beers.”

No Innovation Vacation (Portland, OR) – Hopworks Urban Brewery continues to innovate with its latest release, an experimental West Coast Imperial IPA featuring two experimental hops from B Corp Roy Farms.  Available starting on October 22 on draft and in 16oz 4-packs, Hopworks Ace of Diamonds is an 8.1% ABV Imperial IPA with citrusy orange notes that give way to undertones of papaya and bubblegum balanced by a firm bitterness.

“This Imperial IPA has really been amazing to brew, especially tinkering with new, Salmon-Safe hops,” said Matt Speckenbach, Head Brewer at Hopworks. “Working with Roy Farms to select hops from their experimental selection was fascinating and led to a beer that we’re all extremely proud of, both from a flavor and aroma perspective, as well as from a sustainability perspective working with another B Corp.”

Crafted With An Accent (San Diego, CA) – SouthNorte Beer Co was founded by Ryan Brooks, a brewer whose mission is to bring Mexico’s flavors to serious beers crafted in the US. And his take on the dark Mexican lager is definitely worth a visit.

Not quite black, but deep mahogany, SouthNorte Sea-Reina is a crisp 4.5% ABV Dark Lager with malty, tasty sweetness and a hint of easy-drinking chocolate.
