What started as a whim we dismissed, has become a fall ritual we’ve warmed up to. And this year Dunkin’ has teamed up with Harpoon Brewery and delivered four beers you can pair with, well, donuts.

Here’s the deal…

Dunkin’,  which dropped Donuts from its name in 2018 to broadcast that they also sell coffee and sandwiches, is welcoming autumn with four donut beers and three of them are brand new.

“Our collaborations with Dunkin’ are highly anticipated by our fans each fall,” said Harpoon CEO and co-founder Dan Kenary, “so this year we wanted to help them crack a cold one open just a little earlier.”

The New England-headquartered companies (Dunkin’ is in Canton, Mass and Harpoon Brewery is located in Boston) describe this year’s donut beer release this way…

• Harpoon Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale – Inspired by Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spiced Latte, this “Spiced Latte Ale” is brewed with Dunkin’ coffee, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and lactose for an autumnal beer that’s equal parts creamy, roasty, pumpkin-y, and spiced. ABV: 5.2%.
• NEW Harpoon Dunkin’ Blueberry Matcha IPA – This hazy IPA is inspired by Dunkin’s Blueberry Matcha Latte. Brewed with blueberries, matcha, and a blend of traditional and modern hops, it’s both tea-like and tropical with bright, juicy notes of mixed berry. ABV: 6.6%.
• NEW Harpoon Dunkin’ Maple Crème Blonde Ale – Brewed with actual Dunkin’ donuts and maple syrup, this easy-drinking Blonde Ale combines everything donut fans love about Dunkin’ Maple Crème donuts with a subtle, malty, not-too-sweet base. ABV: 5.5%.
• NEW Harpoon Dunkin’ Midnight American Porter  – This riff on the classic Dunkin’ Coffee Porter is brewed with Dunkin’s new Midnight Roast coffee for some extra roasty aromatics, dark chocolate notes, and an espresso-like finish. ABV: 6%.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, Harpoon will host its first-ever walk-thru event at the brewery where fans can be the first to purchase the new beers and sample a one-day only Dunkin’ Harpoon IPA donut.

This is Dunkin’s first beer-based donut EVER. The limited-edition treat is made with Harpoon IPA-infused jelly and topped with candied malt crumble. But because Harpoon Dunkin’ IPA Donuts may contain trace amounts of alcohol, you’ll have to be 21+ to have one.

Harpoon Dunkin’ Dozen six packs will be available in September everywhere that Harpoon is sold.
