Revelry Brewing Produces Proof Of Collusion! (Charleston, SC) – Revelry Brewing, home to serious beers with whimsical names like Back0ff Warchild and Funk master & The Furious Hops, has a topical special release that uses what may be the “most used” word of 2018.
Collusion, a Russian Imperial Stout (of course) features two separate labels that playfully caricature both President Donald Trump and his alleged business partner, Russian President Vladimir Putin. And even though the labels artwork are comical takes on the world leaders, Revelry Brewing is insisting that they remain totally non-partisan in the effort. “No political opinions or affiliations were expressed…Save the drama for your momma, and enjoy this delicious stout with all your friends, no matter which way they lean,” the Instagram caption reads.
What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Rochester, NY) – Just before New Year’s we hit up something seasonal from the Genesee Brew House that’s part of its Pilot Batch release series. Brewed with locally sourced artisan chocolate, Genesee Brewhouse Salted Caramel Chocolate Porter is a rich 6.5% porter variation that should pair perfectly with 2019.
