America’s largest and most important craft beer industry gathering is returning to Washington, DC this April and it’s absolutely not to be missed!
Now in its 34th year, the 2017 Craft Brewers Conference runs from Monday April the 10th through Thursday April the 13th and if “history is prologue,” it promises to be a total blast!
Presented annually by the Brewers Association, this enormously exciting “industry only” conference is hosted in different cities every year. This year’s CBC is expected to attract over 14,000 brewing professionals from all around the world, and feature 70 seminars across 11 different strategic tracks.
Alison Levine and Dick Cantwell have been selected to Keynote the 2017 CBC.
Allison Levine is a renowned author and leadership guru who’s climbed the highest peak on every continent, served as captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition, and skied across the Arctic Circle. She’s also the author of the New York Times best-seller On the Edge, a compendium of lessons she learned during her various expeditions.
Dick Cantwell is one of craft beer’s most beloved figures (and also one of its most fun). He founded Seattle-based Elysian Brewing where he served as head brewer until it was sold Anheuser-Busch in 2015. Mr. Cantwell is also an accomplished writer and author whose publishing credits include Barley Wine (with Fal Allen), The Brewers Association’s Guide to Starting Your Own Brewery and Wood & Beer: A Brewer’s Guide which he co-authored along with New Belgium’s Peter Bouckaert, (another great guy). He most recently served as a Quality Ambassador for the Brewers Association, where he advocated for the importance of dependable quality standards in craft beer
Monday night’s Welcome Reception will serve as the official launch to four days of seminars, networking opportunities, brewery events, late night parties, music and fun. And this year’s reception is actually being held in two of the Smithsonian’s most iconic venues, the National Museum of Natural History and the National Museum of American History (both located on the National Mall).
Attendance to Monday night’s two museum celebration is necessarily being limited to 6000 participants this year so the sooner you register for this opening night party, the better.
An essential adjunct the Craft Brewers Conference, BrewExpo America® will also return DC’s Walter E. Williams Convention Center this year.
Widely considered the industry’s premier trade show, this year’s exhibition extravaganza will feature more than 800 vendors all in one location, with beer stations thoughtfully positioned throughout the hall to further lubricate you networking opportunities.
