Love him, or hate him, Donald Trump is a larger-than-life character and his last presidential run spawned a number of craft beers with names that either embraced him or took a more satirical approach to his persona.
And here’s a list of 10 Trump-themed craft beers produced over the years, that showcase both humor and political snark.
Dump The Trump American IPA – Behemoth Brewing (New Zealand)
Behemoth’s Dump Trump IPA was a 6.5% ABV American India Pale Ale that the Aukland brewery claimed was uber-hoppy thanks to “uge” amounts of protest hops.
When Behemoth Brewing first introduced Dump the Trump IPA in 2016, its Facebook page was besieged by Pro-Trump groups who left negative reviews that did affect the brewery’s previously favorable ratings.
Covfefe Pale Ale – Various Breweries
Inspired by Trump’s infamous 2017 tweet that ended with the mysterious word “covfefe,” this pale ale became a viral sensation. Breweries like Funky Buddha in Florida crafted versions of the beer, turning a political blunder into a fun drinking experience.
Fake News New England IPA – Gizmo BrewWorks (North Carolina)
A satirical beer taking aim at Trump’s frequent use of the term “fake news.” This IPA is a hoppy brew with a bold flavor, offering a tongue-in-cheek jab at the media landscape during Trump’s presidency.
Collusion Russian Style Imperial Stout – Revely Brewing (South Carolina)
Revelry Brewing, home to serious beers with whimsical names like Back0ff Warchild and Funk master & The Furious Hops, released Collusion Russian Style Imperial Stout in 2018. The special Trump-themed stout featured two separate labels that playfully caricatured both President Donald Trump and his alleged business partner, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
And even though the labels artwork were comical takes on the world leaders, Revelry Brewing insisted that they remain totally non-partisan in the effort. “No political opinions or affiliations were expressed…Save the drama for your momma, and enjoy this delicious stout with all your friends, no matter which way they lean,” their Instagram caption reads.
Make America Juicy Again – Heretic Brewing Company (California)
A New England IPA that played off Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again.” This beer was packed with juicy hop flavors, offering a clever twist on political branding while delivering a high-quality brew.
Bigly Tremendous IPA – 3rd Act Brewery (Minnesota)
Named after one of Trump’s favorite words, “bigly,” this IPA promises to be “tremendous” in every way. Bold and hoppy, it pokes fun at Trump’s exaggerated language while delivering a solid beer.
Stable Genius Double IPA – Level Beer ( Oregon)
