The Mother Of All Oktoberfest Celebrations (Munich, Germany) – We’re heading into Oktoberfest season soon here in the states. But the festival that started it all is already ON! The 184th Oktoberfest is the largest and definitely the most renowned drinking celebration on the face of the planet. It’s a life-changing event and one that’s not to be missed.
On The Big Screen – One of September’s most anticipated new movies opened to rave reviews last weekend and it may be the scariest movie of the year. Stephen King’s It tells the story a monstrous clown that lives in a small town’s sewers and the small group of bullied friends who battle it. With its faithfulness to the original novel, many are calling It one of Hollywood’s best Stephen King adaptations, ever.
TV Time & Streaming – Netflix recently returned its popular cocaine epic Narcos for a third season run. While the first two seasons were based on the real life exploits of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, the third season follows the Cali Cartel which rose in prominence after Escobar’s arrest. Predictably addictive and binge-worthy, Narcos is an authentic entertainment that’s well worth your time.
Monstrous Merriment (Washington, DC) – One of the perks of working at ACB is that we get to attend some serious beer festivals – and one of our favorites is returning to the nation’s capital this Saturday, September 23rd. Now in its sixth year, Snallygaster is an insane beer outing. All the beers being poured this weekend have all been curated by NRG’s Greg Engert, and the dude’s a true beer genius. This year, Greg’s assembled a beasty 404 beers – and they’re the kinds of beers that you only see at the most acclaimed craft beer events like the Firestone Walker Invitational or the Beavertown Extravaganza over in London.
