Get Bad Ass This Weekend (Tampa, FL) – One of the largest beer festivals in the southeast, the Bad Ass Beerfest, returns to the Tampa Bay Brewing compound this Saturday, Nov 9. And it promises to be the best one yet. Now in its sixth year, this weekend’s beerganza will feature over 60 world-class breweries pouring more than 200 unique offerings including limited releases, fall seasonals and barrel-aged exotics.
On The Big Screen – This weekend’s big movie opening, Doctor Sleep continues the saga of Danny Torrance’s, four decades after the terrifying events of Stephen King’s The Shining. Still irreversibly scarred by the trauma he endured as a child at the Overlook Hotel, Torrance befriends Abra, a teenage outcast with her own powerful extrasensory powers as well as her own demons.
TV Time & Streaming –HBO has a “must watch” show based on the DC Comics series that sets a new standard in both quality and weirdness. Written and produced by Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) Watchmen is actually a thematic spinoff of the original superhero story. Trippy, audacious and sometimes hilarious, Lindelof likens the television series to a “remix” of the DC Comics original that takes place within the same alternate reality, only 34 years later.
All Idaho Brewers (Coeur d’Alene, ID) – Idaho is celebrating the state’s impressive craft beer scene this Saturday Nov 9 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and it’s going to be a blast. Presented by Idaho’s craft brewers guild, Idaho Brewers United, the North Idaho Beer Feat will showcase ONLY Idaho craft brewers and ONLY Idaho-brewed beer and that’s the reason you need to be there.
