Boardwalk Drinking 2019 (Asbury Park, NJ) – The 8th annual Asbury Park BeerFest returns to the Jersey Shore’s historic Convention Hall this weekend and it’s ALWAYS a good time. Sponsored as always by WRAT, this year’s two-day (Jan 26-27) three-session gathering will feature nearly 70 of the region’s best breweries and as usual everybody will be bringing in their good stuff. It looks like Saturday’s sessions are sold out. But tickets to Sunday’s 12pm-4pm session are still available…So you know what to do.
On The Big Screen – This weekend’s big movie opening is a return to form by director Guy Ritchie, who made his name on quirky British gangster movies before going Hollywood and losing his way. The Gentlemen tells the story of American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London…a business he now wants to sell-off. But when word gets out that he’s looking to cash out, the shit hits the fan and things turn darkly violent.
Big Beers In A Small State (Providence, RI) – The 8th annual Rhode Island Brew Fest returns to the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island this Saturday January 25 and you don’t want to miss it. 2020’s two- session beerganza will feature more than 50 of the region’s best breweries and over 200 beers to enjoy. All General Admission tickets include entry to one of the 3-hour festival sessions with unlimited beer sampling and a branded pint glass. Designated Driver tickets include entry to the festival, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and a branded pint glass.
