Summer is ON! And brewers are addressing the season with intriguing new offerings you might want to chase down this weekend.
Nice Ride (Pittsburgh, PA) – American Craft Beer was recently invited to Pittsburgh to cover its impressive craft beer scene. And we spent an early afternoon drinking beer with Dave Kushner, the Founder of Trace Brewing and Aadam Soorma, Head of Marketing for the brewery, (both very cool guys) and they sent us home with a serious IPA that’s worth travelling for.
Crafted with Mosaic, Motueka and uber-aromatic hops Sultana hops, Trace 10 Mile Ride is a 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale with a dank backbone and medium-body. Aadam told us it was brewed as a one-off but could come around again, and we hope that it does.

New Nitro (Longmont, CA) – Left Hand Brewing, who make the best craft nitro beers anywhere, have added a nutty variation to their to their year-round portfolio. A nitro-infused version of a limited release that generated serious buzz when it debuted in 2020, Left Hand Peanut Butter Milk Stout is a 6.2% ABV take on the origional which comes in bottles and uses the “Pour Hard” technique to release a flood of creamy nitrogen into your glass.
“Our classic Milk Stout’s aromas of roasted coffee, milk chocolate, brown sugar, and vanilla cream are the perfect canvas for the rich and nutty flavors of peanut butter,” said Jill Preston, Director of Marketing at Left Hand. “Whether you are pouring hard from the bottle or enjoying straight from the tap, its pillowy head and velvety mouthfeel will caress your palate smoother than a spoonful of creamy peanut butter.”
Beach Beer (Columbus, OH) – BrewDog USA is thinking the tropics with something festive that is currently available as part of its new Summer Mixed Pack. Bursting with exotic fruit flavors and a rich creaminess, BrewDog Juice Shack is a 4.6% ABV Tropical Milkshake IPA with bright mango, guava and passionfruit notes that linger.
