The winter holiday season is nearing and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want have around.

Tis’ (Almost) The Season (San Francisco, CA) –  Anchor Brewing has returned an annual winter holiday release that was first released in 1975 and helped solidify the brewery’s foundational role in the craft beer movement. Each year Anchor’s brewmasters craft a new secret recipe and bottle the limited-edition ale with a different festive hand-drawn tree label.

Anchor’s 48th Christmas Ale is a 7.2% ABV rye-forward brew with surprising notes of orange, honeysuckle, toasted malts, and eucalyptus. This year’s hand-drawn label features a Blue Gum Eucalyptus tree, a nod to Mary Ellen Pleasant – a 19th-century San Francisco entrepreneur, financier, abolitionist, and civil rights activist. Like last year, a portion of all sales benefit One Tree Planted, a non-profit dedicated to global reforestation planting millions of trees across 43 countries.

It’s A Beaut (USA) BrewDog and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have joined forces to spread a little holiday cheer with a new National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation-inspired beer.   BrewDog’s It’s A Beaut is a 7.5% ABV Pecan & Toffee Stout with rich roasted cacao and sweet toffee flavors that linger, but never overpower.

“The BrewDog crew grew up enjoying the antics of Clark and the Griswold gang and have since passed on the time-honored tradition of watching the movie together during the holidays with the next generation,” shares BrewDog head brewer Steve McMillen. “We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with our friends at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to create this fun take on a classic.”

A Winter Eye-Opener  (Framingham, MA) – Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing, an environmentally-conscience, awarding-winning craft brewery that sees beer as a way of bringing people together, has a winter release we’re pretty excited about.

Crafted in partnership with Barrington Coffee Roasters, Exhibit ‘A’ Sunday Paper is a dangerously smooth 9.9% ABV Imperial Stout rich roasted dark chocolate and coffee notes and a hint of dried black cherries.
