One of Baltimore’s most creative and cutting-edge breweries, Union Craft Brewing, has just unveiled plans for their new taproom and beer garden…and we’ve got to admit, it all looks pretty awesome.

Union Craft’s future headquarters will be housed in a 138,000-square-foot building, a former Sears Roebuck warehouse, that just got a whole lot hipper.

Designed by Ziger/Snead, a Baltimore-based architectural firm with a national reputation for design excellence, Union Craft’s new base of operations will occupy 50,500 square feet in the redeveloped warehouse which according to the Baltimore Sun will also be home to eight other destination businesses.

Located in the city’s up-and-coming Hampden/Medfield neighborhood, Union Craft’s new production facility, taproom and beer garden will clearly build upon that community’s industrial chic vibe and will allow the brewery to significantly expand its production capability in the region.

Future plans for the state-of-the-art facility include a hop-vine enclosed outdoor beer garden with designer picnic table seating and murals by local artists. The brewery will also devote an entire section of its offerings on tap to barrel aged creations and sour beers which is sure to be an additional draw.

With almost $2.1 million raised from investors to help pay for the $6.82 million property Union Craft Brewing hopes to open their new home’s doors to the public doors “in late spring of next year.”
