, The Brewed Food Tour

The Brewed Food tour is an intriguing pop-up event for anyone passionate about the food and beer world. Created by Chef and Certified Cicerone Jensen Cummings, the tour is “built upon the philosophy of cooking with brewing ingredients and techniques.”

This Brewed Food movement is about challenging how the public views food and beer while creating a bridge between brewers, chefs and their respective crafts – and this , The Brewed Food Tourtour is their way of spreading that vision.

All cities will feature a dinner provided and collaborated by local chefs and brewers. New Belgium Brewing will be participating at every tour stop, along with another celebrated brewery from each particular region.

The dinner will cost approximately $60 (depending on location) for six courses of scintillating food, each paired with exciting and unique beers. Tickets will go on sale and in keeping with the “pop-up” philosophy – the menu will be released about thirty days prior to each event.

The tour will travel to five cities beginning in Austin (April 5) then moving to Portland (April 19/20), LA and San Diego (May dates TBA) and finishing in New York City (June dates TBA).

, The Brewed Food TourFounder, Jensen Cummings earned his Certified Cicerone accolade in 2012 and was awarded National Hop Chef Champion ’14, CRA Philanthropist of the Year ’14, and was a Colorado State Flag recipient ’13.

I will be attending the New York leg of the tour. And as a professional brewer and food obsessive, I am looking forward to exploring the way in which beer and food can influence each other and to closing the gap between fine food and craft beer… a movement we can all get behind!
