Hey it’s Friday…Work’s wrapping up and you’re ready for some fun. Well good, because we’re all about it and we’ve got all kinds of ideas for you. From the nation’s , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – December 4, 2015coolest beer festivals to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve a weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking!

So welcome to our awesome Weekend Picks…

Warm Up To The Holiday Season This Weekend (Portland, OR) – The 20th annual Portland Holiday Ale Festival is up and running in “The City of Roses” and continues into Sunday, the 6th. Considered by many to be one of the winter’s premier craft beer events, this year’s festival will feature more than 50 serious winter ales many of them brewed especially for this event. From Belgians and Barleywines to Stouts and Sours, this is holiday drinking at its best. For a complete listing of all the breweries attending and what they’ll be bringing check out: Holiday Ale 2015

On The Big Screen – We like our holiday movies deranged – 2003’s Bad Santa is a classic! That’s why we’re excited about Krampus a new holiday horror release that’s been generating considerable pre-release buzz. Loosely based on a mythic figure from German/Alpine folklore Krampus is a horned creature who, unlike Saint Nick, punishes children during the Christmas season. C’mon this sounds like the perfect alternative to shopping mall insanity…We’re in!

Winter Down! (Seattle, WA) – The Washington Brewers Guild is presenting the 2015 Winter Beer Festival in Hangar 30 at Magnuson Park this weekend – and you don’t want to miss it. This year’s two-day (Dec 4th-5th), three-session event will feature outstanding winter seasonals from more than 50 of Washington States most brilliant breweries. This year’s lineup will include dark malty , The American Craft Beer Weekend Picks – December 4, 2015stouts, robust winter warmers, and barrel-aged gems. And yes, there will be beards…lots and lots of beards. For a complete listing of all the breweries attending and what they’ll be bringing check out: Winter Beer Fest

TV Time – Continuing our ongoing commitment to damaged holiday fare we suggest that you track down the UK anthology series, Black Mirror’s 2014 holiday special, White Christmas, which is available now to DIRECTV subscriber and will debut on Netflix on Christmas day. This holiday addition to the critically acclaimed speculative fiction series stars Madmen’s John Hamm in three mini-stories, each one creepier than the other. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!
