Beefcake Beer (UK) – A new protein-forward forward beer has been introduced by an online fitness site, MuscleFood.com  that suggests you can now purchase a 6-pack that might actually give you “six pack abs.” With 33% fewer calories than regular lagers, Barbell Brew has same protein levels as 100g piece of steak, and we can only that its tastes half as good.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all of the American craft breweries who’ve shipped us beer from time to time. It’s always great to sample the brews that we write about and it helps to give us a better feel for what’s happening out there. And last night we hit up the latest from Flying Dog’sSingle Hop Imperial IPA Series and it was terrific. Brewed with a hop that’s so new that it doesn’t even have a name yet, Single Hop HBC-291 is an 8% Imperial that gets it done.
