Craft beer fans expressed concern and disbelief upon hearing that Rogue Farms Pumpkin Patch Ale, an ale brewed with Rogue’s own fresh pumpkins grown and harvested at Rogue Farms in Independence, wouldn’t become available till sometime in October! “There’s a whole generation out there that has become accustomed to enjoying their pumpkin beers in the mid-August heat,” said Tom Bobak, the Editor-in-Chief of American Craft Beer.com. “Pumpkin beers in August have become the norm. They’re now a poolside staple that many craft beer lovers have grown to expect, so this is brutal news.”

Nation’s Postmaster Wants Delivery for the Nation’s Brewmasters (Washington, DC) – Momentum for lifting the alcohol delivery ban is building at the USPS and Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe wants it to happen. Tin Roof Through the Roof (Baton Rouge, LA) – It appears that things are looking up at Louisiana’s Tin Roof Brewing Company and they’re already planning to expand. According to The Advocate, a new brewhouse and fermentation tanks are expected to be in place by the end of the year, allowing them to double production!
