, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 30, 2014New Airways IPA Will Debut at SeaTac Airport (Seattle, WA) – Airways Brewing will debut their newest year-round IPA in the world’s most appropriate place – an airport. Airways Seat Kicker IPA will touch down inside SeaTac Airport at Alaska Air’s Seattle Board Room on May 1st from 3-6 pm. And if you are not traveling that day, you can contact the Seattle Board Room at 206-392-9490 and be there for its landing. Airway’s Founder & Head Brewer Alex Dittmar used to work with Alaska Air and they are all about Airways. “It’s great to see a company like Alaska, my employer for 13-plus years, believe in supporting local businesses and take an interest in locally made craft beer,” said Dittmar. Airways beer will be featured in the Alaska Board Room for the month of May.

Ninkasi Gambles on Nevada (Eugene, OR) – Starting on May 5, craft beer fans will be able to find Ninkasi Brewing Company offerings on the shelves and in retailers throughout Nevada. Working in partnership with five Nevada distributorships, the brewery plans to offer its 12 and 22 oz. lineup, draft beers, and limited releases to Nevada next month.

, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 30, 2014Sixpoint Slims Down (Brooklyn, NY) – Sixpoint Brewery will be launching 12 oz. “sleek” can six-packs of its flagship beers – Sweet Action Ale, Crisp Pilz, and Bengali IPA. This ginormous announcement comes on the third anniversary of the company’s successful launch of 16 oz. four-packs after six years of only being available on draft. The six-pack format for these offerings will replace the four-pack 16 oz. versions of these beers – but we don’t care as long as the beer remains awesome.

, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 30, 2014The NBWA Hits Capitol Hill (Washington, DC) – The National Beer Wholesalers Association is holding its 2014 NBWA Legislative Conference in DC this week and there are all kinds of things going on.Monday’s program featured a conversation with beer industry leaders, including NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser; American Beverage Licensees’ John Bodnovich; Dogfish Head Brewery’s Sam Calagione; L&F Distributors’ Greg LaMantia; and Heineken USA’s Dolf van den Brink. The industry leaders focused on policy issues impacting the beer industry and the effectiveness of the independent three-tier system of beer distribution in ensuring access to market for brewers of all sizes.

, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – April 30, 2014Burning Can’s Rocky Mountain Return (Lyons, CO) – The Oscar Blues Brewery’s celebration of craft beer in a can and adventure sports is returning to the Rocky Mountain state on May 31st and it sounds like too much fun. This year’s beer fest will feature 45+ AmeriCAN breweries and a front seat to the BMX/Mountain Bike dirt-jump & best trick competition.
