As many of you already know, the Craft Brewers Conference is taking place this week (March 26th-29th), in Washington, DC. For those of you who will be attending, you know what an exciting week this promises to be. But in addition to the conference itself, there will be tons of craft beer events taking place all over the city, many of them opportunities to hang out with some of craft beer’s biggest names and most of them open to the public!
American Craft Beer will be working overtime to keep you updated daily on all the craft beer events that will be happening throughout the city ….So fasten your seatbelts everybody because this year’s CBC is on!

Drafts and Casks from CBC Beer & Food Experience – ChurchKey – 4 pm. Drafts & Casks will feature beers from each brewery participating in the dinner available upstairs. Participating breweries include Avery Brewing Company, Cigar City Brewing, Maui Brewing, DC Brau, Bluejacket, Flying Dog Brewery, Firestone Walker and Surly Brewing Company.
3 Stars Spotlight at The Big Hunt – The Big Hunt – 4 pm. Meet with 3 Stars Owners/Brewers Dave Coleman and Mike McGarvey.
‘Belgian’ in the USA! – Brasserie Beck – 4-7 pm. Brasserie Beck will play host to Brewery Ommegang, Allagash Brewing Co. and Boulevard Brewing Co.
Wild Ales with Leelanau Brewing & Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales – Meridian Pint – 5 pm-12 am. Join Charles Psenka, Chief Liaison for Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales and founder of Leelanau Brewing, for a sampling of his fine wild ales. There is no admission fee for this event.

CBM21 Media and GreatBrewers.com present the 3rd Annual East Coast vs. West Coast Punk Rock Brew Tour. A beer and music event, the Punk Rock Brew Tour features a soundtrack of punk and hardcore paired with great craft-brewed beer.There is no admission for this event, which is located in the basement. This event overlaps with Wild Ales with Leelanau Brewing & Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, which takes place upstairs.
CBC Pre-Hang & Tasting at RFD – 7 pm RFD/Chinatown…If you’re planning on attending just one event during CBC Week – this is it! You’ll be hanging and drinking with some of the biggest names in the biz…Expect to meet industry rock stars like Anchor’s Mark Carpenter, Sierra Nevada’s Ken Grossman, Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione, Port Brewing’s Tomme Arthur, Russian River’s Vinnie Cilurzo, and Allagash Brewing’s Rob Tod.
