Well, it’s still not over, but more states are lifting restrictions a little and people have begun to crawl out of their homes to toast the ‘new normal.’

And we’ve more fun new releases that should pair smartly with your weekend.

Giving Up The Ghost (Eugene, OR) – Oakshire Brewing is returning a popular sour that was first introduced as a draft-only release in 2018 with an updated name but the same tart spirit. Conditioned with tangerine and orange puree and back for the summer of 2020, Oakshire No Ghosts is a 5.5% ABV American Sour Ale that’s bright neon green in color yet hauntingly accessible.

With label art designed by created by Margaret Abbasi, local artist and Oakshire Pubtender, this tart refresher is currently available on draft and will soon be available in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado at specialty bottle shops and larger retailers.

Getting Fired (Juneau, Alaska) – Alaskan Brewing has a new limited release that pairs perfectly with summer in the 49th state… Complex yet accessible, Alaskan Fireweed Blonde is a light-bodied 4.5% ABV American Blonde Ale brewed with fireweed honey, a nectar sometimes called the “champagne of honey,” that’s the result of honeybees harvesting nectar from the vibrant fireweed plants which bloom in summer throughout Alaska.

, Serious Beers For Your ‘New Normal’ WeekendNot Left Wanting (Longmont, CO) – Left Hand Brewing is taking a break from its innovative nitro releases, to introduce a new year-round release with a more traditional bent. Brimming with delicate citrus hops and light bready malts, Left Hand 1265 Pilsner is a crisp and lively 5.2% ABV lager with a refined orange and lemon hop profile complemented by a touch of sweetness.

Eastern Promises (Alpine WY) – Melvin Brewing has a late July release that takes its inspiration from the Far East. Brewed using jasmine rice and fermented with sake yeast, then amped up to eleven, Melvin Asian-Style Imperial Pilsner is a dangerously drinkable limited release with an airy mouthfeel and pleasing mineralogy.
