Two of Michigan’s biggest brewers are making BIG news again.

Michigan Brewery Partners With Philadelphia 76ers

On January 19, Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Founders Brewing announced a partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers as an official sponsor for the team’s 2021 season.

The partnership marks the largest major sports collaboration in Founders’ history and includes limited-edition co-branded All Day IPA packaging and cans. Debuting in the second half of the season, the specialty package will be available at various retailers in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware and will highlight the Sixers’ 2021 campaign, “Here They Come,” an ode to the team’s victory song.

“We are thrilled to partner with Founders Brewing Co. to bring this limited-edition 76ers branded beer can and packaging to our fans throughout the Delaware Valley,” said Owen Morin, 76ers vice president of corporate partnerships….

“We pride ourselves on partnering with like-minded, passionate brands. All Day IPA is certainly a fan favorite, and it will be fantastic to see that synergy of our brands come to life. This partnership gives us an opportunity to reach new fans and introduce our current fans to this award-winning beer.”

Bell’s Brewery Honored For Energy Efficiency Efforts

Bell’s Brewery, a family-owned craft brewing company with operations in Comstock and Kalamazoo, Michigan, which produced almost a half-a-million barrels of beer in 2019, has been awarded the US EPA Energy Challenge certification a global call-to-action for industrial sites to reduce their energy intensity by 10 percent within 5 years.

Through a series of energy efficiency projects over the course of the last 2 years, Bell’s successfully reduced energy usage per barrel by 10.35%.

“Being good stewards of our environment has always been a priority, said Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s. “Sure, we save money. That’s good business. More importantly, we’re helping to secure and protect our environment for generations to come.”
