American Craft Beer Attends the Latin American Craft Beer Cup (Peru) – As we’ve reported, craft beer has truly arrived in South America. And because of this emergence, the American Craft Beer team will be in Peru all week to cover the 2017 Latin American Beer Cup and the Latin American Conference of Artisan Brewers, which is being held this year in Cusco, Peru.
The 2017 Beer Cup will be bringing together South America’s most accomplished brewers including our friends from the Sacred Valley Brewery and the formidable talents of Lima’s Barbarian Brewing crew.
An International panel of experts has been assembled from all over the world, to judge the nearly 400 beers that have been entered into this year’s competition. We’re excited to have been invited down to cover this year’s event and also to be co-hosting the launch of the new Peruvian chapter of the Pink Boots Society in the Scared Valley (yep, that Sacred Valley!), tomorrow.

New Belgium Very Nearly National (Ft Collins, CO) – With their entrance into Vermont and New Hampshire on March 20th and opening distribution to Maine on April 20th New Belgium Brewing’s products will be available in all 50 states of the Union (as well as in the District of Columbia).
What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – To celebrate New Belgium’s soon to be completed nationwide distribution we hit up something special from the Ft Collins-based brewery last night. New Belgium 2017 La Folie is wood-aged Sour Brown Ale, and this year’s 7% ABV blend is absolutely killer!
