, Quick Hits: NFL Gets Hysterical Over MVP Beer, Space X Explores Beer’s Next FrontierNFL Jumps Ugly Over Lamar Jackson Tribute Beer (Columbia, MD) – Baltimore Raven’s Lamar Jackson may or may not officially be the NFL’s most valuable player, but when Hysteria Brewing paid homage to the star quarterback with its #MVP Hazy IPA, NFL lawyer swooped in to block the beer’s release.

Federal law, prohibits false associations and endorsements under the Lanham Act, which guards against unfair competition. And the NFL’s legal team argued that the beer label, which depicts a player resembling Jackson, dressed in what looks like his No. 8 jersey,  “creates a false association” between Hysteria Brewing, the Ravens, and the NFL.

Hysteria Brewing director of sales, marketing manager and brewer, Ty Kreis to the Baltimore Biz Journal that  the brewery “still plans to move forward with the #MVP release and is reworking its label to avoid legal issues. “We’re removing anything that could possibly be confused that it’s a Ravens jersey,” he wrote in a text.

Now in orbit, the barley will remain in space for over a month before returning to earth. Then the “Bud Barley” will undergo spacy analysis to determine if it’s time in space altered the grain in any way and to learn if barley germination is even possible in a micro-gravity environment.
