Constellation Brands’ Ballast Point Gamble Paying Off (Victor, NY) – Publically held drinks giant, Constellation Brands, who were widely criticized when they purchased Ballast Point Brewing for a cool $1 Billion dollars at the end of 2015, just issued a bullish earnings report, and they’re looking like geniuses right now.
Some Industry Analysts viewed the deal with skepticism, and opined that Constellation may have over-payed for the popular San Diego beer brand.
Ballast Point is now being seen as one of the prime drivers for Constellation Brands’ 5.8% revenue growth in 2016 which blew analyst expectations away.

The Craft Brewers Conference Kicks Off Today (Washington, DC) – The world’s largest and most important professional brewing conference is kicking off today in the nation’s capital and there’s not a better (or more fun) “industry-only” gathering on the face of the planet.
