Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

So many beers, So little time… Summer defines this week’s newbies and just in time for the upcoming 4th of July celebrations…Plus we’ve some new releases from Terrapin and Hangar 24 that sound serious as well.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForA Summer Solstice Stout? (Durango, CO) – Yep, they exist and Ska Brewing recently released one as part of their Seasonal Stout Series. Ska Estival Cream Stout is a light (by Stout standards) 5.8% ABV exercise in unlikeness that might just be what you’re looking for.

Barrel Roll Call (Redlands, CA)  Hangar 24 has a new Barrel Roll Series release that you might want to chase down. Hangar 24 Sanquinello is a Sour Blonde Ale that’s brewed with locally sourced blood oranges, squeezed into Sauvignon Blanc barrels, and aged between 9 and 18 months. Sanquinello is available now in 330ml bottles at the brewery only. And at the risk of coming across as pushy, Hangar 24 recommends you drink this offering fresh.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForJah Man (Portland, OR) – The Burnside Brewing Company has a new summertime release that was inspired by a legendary Jamaican Sunsplash Music Festival. Burnside Sunsplash Kölsch is a 5.4% ABV ale brewed with Hibiscus, orange zest, and Thai ginger. What, no cannabis?

Summer Pils Thrills (Utica, NY) – Saranac has been around longer than a lot of craft beer operations and one of the things that they do best is a beer that many breweries don’t understand at all. Saranac Summer Pils is their 5.2% ABV take on the classic German-Style Pilsner. And it’s out there now, just in time for those 4th of July celebrations.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For1,000 Pounds Of Peaches (Athens, GA) – That’s how many pounds of fresh peaches are used in each 100 barrel batch to brew Terrapin’s beloved summer seasonal. Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale is a 5.3% ABV Farmhouse-style Saison – and like we said, they use a lot of peaches to make it.
