And if you thought that today’s holiday was going to change things – you thought wrong. So welcome to our special 4th of July edition of Newbies – your holiday guide to great new craft beer releases!
Three From Trinity (Colorado Springs, Co) – Trinity Brewing Company has three new (and at least for now) draft-only releases coming on line over the next three weeks and we’re excited! This Friday, July 5th, their brand-new Farmhouse Soleil is being released. They switched up the hops some on this beer, using American-grown Simcoe in brewing this one-of-a-kind Farmhouse. On July 12, they’ll be releasing their new rule-breaking Sour, 7 Day Sour. Brewed for just seven days, the Vert Gueuze is described as refreshing, funky, and perfect for hot weather. And on July 19, they’ll be releasing Farmhouse Fantôme, a 6.4% ABV patio style Saison.
Full On English (Hood River, OR) – FullSailBrewing has just announced the release of the next beer in their new rotating line of classic ales. Full Sail English Pale is a traditional 5% ABV Copper Ale with a mild hop finish. The Pub Series features ales that had only previously been available at Full Sail’s Tasting Room & Pub, and their English Pale is now available in 6-packs and on draft from July to September.
Three Different Cakes (Mount Pleasant, SC) – The Westbrook Brewing Company is releasing three different bottled versions of their infamous Imperial Stout, Barrel-Aged Mexican Cake, on Friday, July 12. The original batch of Mexican Cake was brewed in December 2011 and it has been waiting patiently in barrels since then! The three versions are: Apple Brandy Barrel-aged Mexican Cake, Jack Daniels Whiskey barrel-aged Mexican Cake, and Cabernet barrel-aged Mexican Cake. These beers will not be distributed to retailers, and none of them were kegged… so you’ll have to visit the brewery if you want Cake.

Colorojo is an 8.2% ABV Amber that’s brewed using four different hops added at six different times in the brewing process!
