Slingshot Happy Summer (Clifton Park, NY) – The Shmaltz Brewing Company has a new summer release that you need to be a little careful with. He’Brew David’s Slingshot Hoppy American Lager is a 5.5% ABV American Pale Lager that can be found all summer long on draft at your favorite hang. Slingshot Lager is also available exclusively in 12 oz. bottles in the Hops in He’brewVariety 12-Pack.
Peace Tree Gets a New Sidekick (Knoxville, IA) – Iowa-based Peace Tree Brewing has a new sidekick that you might want to chase down. Sidekick Kölsch is a cold-fermented ale. Lightly hopped and brewed in the tradition of Cologne, Germany, this crisp Kölsch-style ale is the perfect summertime companion and it’s out there now – so you know what to do.
San Francisco Summer Drinking (San Francisco, CA) – The Anchor Brewing Company’s popular summer seasonal has finally been released and we’re all about it. Anchor Summer Beer is a refreshingly light, 4.5% ABV American-style filtered wheat beer. This “all-malt” hot weather beauty is fermented with a traditional top-fermenting “ale” yeast, which yields a clean, balanced flavor and showcases the refreshingly light flavor of malted wheat. Anchor’s summer seasonal is now available nationwide on draft, as well as in 12 oz. bottles, six-packs, and 22 oz. bottles. It’s also on tap in the Anchor Brewing Taproom, which is as good a reason as any to visit San Francisco.
Prolonged Pleasure Offered! (Bellaire, MI) – Short’s Brewing Company has entered the Session IPA parade and is offering what amounts to prolonged pleasure to do it. Short’s Prolonged Enjoyment is their newest year-round offering, a 3.8% ABV India Pale Ale that will be available in 12-packs beginning the second week of June.
Uinta Appealing To Beer’s Masses (Salt Lake, UT) – 801 was the original area code for all of Utah and now it is also the name of Uinta Brewing’s newest canned offering. Uinta 801 Pilsner is a light-bodied and refreshing Pils that’s quaffable and smooth – an approachable beer style that appeals to the masses. The brewery’s hope is to link more consumers in the collective effort to build the Utah community through beer (nothing wrong with that!).Uinta’s new Pilsner will launch as a Utah-only brand and is scheduled to hit shelves the first week of July.
