Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

So many craft beers, so little time. With so many craft breweries, releasing so many beers, we thought it might help to provide a weekly update on all the new beers that are hitting the streets …..So welcome to this week’s edition of Newbies – your guide to great new craft beer releases!

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForNew Core Beer From Dogfish Head (Milton, DE)Dogfish Head Brewery’s Communication Czar, Justin Williams, just tipped us to the brewery’s first new core beer since 2007, and it sounds awesome! Dogfish Head Sixty-One is a play on their classic 60 Minute IPA that marries two Dogfish Head innovations: beer/wine hybrids — which Dogfish has focused on for well over a decade with beers like Midas Touch and Raison D’être — and their continually-hopped IPAs. The name Sixty-One is a reminder that this beer is Dogfish Head’s best-selling 60 Minute IPA plus one new ingredient: syrah grape must from California. Sixty-One, which clocks in at 6.5% ABV, will debut in March. Four-packs will be available four times a year.

Green Death To Be Unleashed (San Francisco, CA) – In celebration of the upcoming SF Beer Week, the San Francisco Brewers Guild have announced the imminent release of their new collaboration beer – Green Death. It’s a modern interpretation of an historic West Coast ale once produced in San Francisco that beer fans have enjoyed in green bottles and cans since Prohibition ended. Green Death will be served for the first time at the SF Beer Week Opening Celebration on Friday, February 8th, at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco. After the event, Green Death will be available on draft only, from February 9-17 at Guild member locations and a limited number of bars throughout the Bay Area.
