Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

So many beers- So little time… Imperials and exotics define this week’s newbies and we’ve a number interesting new offerings that you’ll want to chase down…Plus we’ve some new releases from Second Self and Sun King that sound serious as well.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForAncient Ale (Milton, DE) – A Dogfish Head “oldie but goodie” is heading back at the taps and shelves – so be ready. Dogfish Head Birra Etrusca is an 8.5% ale that’s based on a beverage that may have been enjoyed by the Etruscans of Ancient Italy around 800 BC. The beer’s backbone comes from two-row malted barley and an heirloom Italian wheat and it was fermented on bronze, like the ancient brewing vessels.

Six Fingered Celebration (Indianapolis. IN) – Sun King Brewing has a new session release that was brewed to celebrate their six years in the business. Shaped with a strain of wild yeast seized from their sour space, Sun King Six Finger Discount Saison is a 3.6% refresher brewed for long summer days and warm nights.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForXMAS in July (Atlanta, GA) – Second Self is bending the seasonal time=space continuum with their latest release but we’re betting they’ll pull this off. Inspired by the winter’s Belgian Quads yet tempered somewhat for late summer,  Second Self’s XMAS in July is a 6.7% Belgian Strong that softens the winter spices with bits of peppercorn and orange peel.

Summer Tabled For The Fall (Fort Collins, CO) – New Belgium has a new fall seasonal coming out soon which is  inspired by the by the simple rustic ales brewed on farms in old Flanders. Brewed with Munich malts, a pinch of rye, and traditional Belgian yeast, New Belgium Long Table Farmhouse Ale is 6.2% Saison that celebrates communal dinners and the changing seasons

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForA Side of Peanut Butter and Jelly (Athens, GA) – Terrapin Beer’sSide Project #25 was initially released in mid-June – but we happily just got our hands on a bottle. Terrapin Liquid Lunch Peanut Butter Jelly Porter is a 7.75 fruit-forward Porter with all the flavors and tones of that classic lunch time snack, and that’s not a bad place to start.
