Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out For

So many beers- So little time…Two Texas Breweries, both known for championing completely different beer styles have brewed something special together and you need to know about it. We’ll have that for you – plus we’ve some new releases from Breakside and Fremont Brewing that sound exceptionally awesome as well.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForBack To The Future Is Now (Portland, OR) – Breakside has a new collaboration that they did with Fremont Brewing and this one was whipped up for Portland Beer Week! Back to the Future IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale that was brewed using the same recipe but different hop exotics. Fremont used Jarrrylo and Equinox in their version and Breakside chose to brew with Azacca and Ella hops.

Ode To Saint Dymphna (Dallas, TX) – Drawing inspiration from Belgian and local mythologies, Lakewood Brewing will soon be releasing the newest addition to their ever-popular Legendary Series. And it’s a very personal creation by Lakewood’s founder Wim Bens that pays homage to the Belgian legend of Saint Dymphna who was martyred near where his grandmother lived in Geel, Belgium. The Chapel of Saint Dymphna stands next to a big Linden tree, in what is now the backyard of his grandmother’s home in Belgium – and that story and location serves as the inspiration for his latest release. Lakewood’s Saint Dymphna is 8.6 percent ABV golden Belgian-style Tripel brewed withLinden flowers which add a tea-like lemony character.  This legend in the making rolls out next week (June 1st) on draft and 22oz bottles shipping in the weeks to come.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForIntroverted (Longmont, CO) – Left Hand Brewing has crafted up a new Session IPA and we enjoyed it last night. Introvert Session IPA is a 4.8% ABV hop-forward India Pale Ale. It’s a bright refresher brewed using CTZ. Centennial, Cascade, Chinook, Sterling and Comet hops and a worthy addition to this growing category.

Victory’s Packs For The Summer (Downingtown, PA) – One of our favorite things about craft beer in the summer are all the seasonal variety packs that breweries are putting together nowadays. What once was just a marketing convenience has evolved in to an opportunity to showcase creative one-offs and interesting seasonals. And Victory’s Summer Selection Pack is a wonderful example of this welcome trend. This season’s 12-Pack contains their classic Prima Pils, along with Summer Love Ale, Whirlwind Witbier and Kühl Kölsch (which we’re super-psyched about)!

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForJester Oak (Austin, TX) – Jester King recently released a collaboration that they did with fellow Texan, Live Oak Brewing. Foudreweizen is an unfiltered, unpasteurized, 5.6 % ABV Farmhouse Wheat Beer that was first brewed at Live Oak, then transported across town and fermented for months in one of Jester King’s oak foudres.
