, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForGoing Wild (Downingtown, PA) – Victory is introducing a new year-round that’s a variation on one of their most popular beers. Victory Sour Monkey is a 9.5% ABV Wild Ale that’s actually a twist on Golden Monkey, their Belgian Tripel that has spent some time undergoing multiple fermentations via three different yeasts.

A Barrel-Aged Beer Like None Other (Escondido, CA)  In recent years, barrel-aged beers have become some of the world’s most coveted creations and now Stone is taking this concept in an unexpected direction.Ecliptic/Wicked Weed/Stone Points Unknown IPA is a 9.5% ABV barrel-aged collaboration between Stone, Ecliptic, and Wicked Weed Brewing that incorporates two disparate styles–a hop-forward, distinctly American IPA and a fruity Belgian Tripel, both brewed with blue agave nectar.

, Newbies – New Releases That You Want to Look Out ForTaking Liberty (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing is celebrating the 40th anniversary of a beer that launched a revolution with special commemorative cans. First released in 1975 to memorialize the bicentennial of Paul Revere¹s historic ride, Anchor Liberty Ale is the 6% ABV ale that was a hop-forward outlier back in the days of generic Lagers and the first American IPA brewed after Prohibition. Brewed with only natural ingredients, whole-cone Cascade hops, and Anchor’s signature top fermenting ale yeast, Liberty Ale remains a classic.

Summertime German-Style (San Jose, CA)  Gordon Biersch is signaling that summer is full-on on with their latest warm-weather release. Sommerbrau is a 4.8% ABV Kölsch crafted by Gordon Biersch in adherence with the ‘Reinheitsgebot’  the German purity law of 1516 stipulating the use of only four ingredients in the brewing process – water, malt, hops, and yeast. This light bodied beer is fermented using a special top fermenting yeast strain that the brewery’s co-founder Dan Gordon sources from former classmates at the Technical University of Munich.

Hefe Shandy is a 4.2% ABV lemonade infused version of Hefe, the brewery’s original American Hefeweizen, amped up to eleven on all things lemon.
