So many new craft beers, so little time! With so many craft breweries, releasing so many beers, we thought it might help to provide a weekly update on all the new beers that are hitting the streets …..So welcome to this week’s edition of Newbies – your guide to great new craft beer releases!

Enter The Zymaster! (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing has just announced the third release in their Zymaster® Series, Flying Cloud San Francisco Stout. Named after a San Francisco sailing legend Flying , Newbies – New Craft Beer Releases That You Want to Look Out For – January 17, 2013Cloud, San Francisco Stout is a dry, Irish-style export stout akin to those brewed in the 1800s for the long voyage to San Francisco. It’s black as night, sports a 7.4% ABV, and will be released on draught in selected Anchor markets this month.

Noble Rot Returns (Milton, DE) – “Get ready to drink with your pinky out people” because Dogfish Head Brewery has just announced the return of its infamous beer/wine hybrid, Noble Rot. “This is the absolute closest to equal meshing of the wine world and the beer world that’s ever been done commercially,” says Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione. Noble Rot first went on tap at their brewpub in February 2011 and went into full 750ml bottle production in January 2012.

Shorts Votes for Publican (Bellaire, MI) – Michigan-based Shorts Brewing Company has just announced that the 12 oz. bottle release of their Imperial London Porter will be hitting the shelves soon. Shorts uses only time-honored ingredients to brew their Publican Porter. Porters are considered by many to be the most widely consumed beer in the world!

SweetWater Brewery All About Happy Ending’s (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing Company has released their popular Happy Ending Imperial Stout and if you’ve not had the opportunity to try this one yet – you do now. They’ve also produced a video short featuring their Head Brewer Nick Nock (really?) and we’re running it here even though we think that they may have gotten a little ahead of themselves.

Nugget Nectar Rolls Out (Hershey, PA)Tröegs Brewing Company has just announced its proposed street dates for its very popular Nugget Nectar roll-out. It should have just arrived in the Harrisburg/York/Lancaster metro areas and should arrive in Philly and its suburbs around the 21st. New Jersey, Delaware, and Massachusetts will all have to wait until the 28th to purchase “the nectar,” while New York, Ohio, Virginia, Western , Newbies – New Craft Beer Releases That You Want to Look Out For – January 17, 2013Pennsylvania, and Maryland will all have to wait til February for their nuggets! Needless to say – this one’s worth the wait!

Vendell Veizen in The Batter’s Box (Hood River, OR)Full Sail Brewing Company has just announced the release of a new beer in their Brewer’s Share Series! Vendell Veizen Weizen Bock was developed by Assistant Packaging Supervisor Wendell Bryant as part of their small-batch series that allows the company’s individual brewers to express their creations to be shared on tap exclusively in their pub. “Vendell Veizen” is a bock-style German wheat bier. It drinks red and weighs in big at 7.2% ABV. Full Sail’s Brewer’s Share small-batch offerings are available in 22oz. bottles and on draft, so you know what to do.
