Super-Powered (Brooklyn, NY) – Brooklyn Brewery is returning their popular Superhero release and the world is a safer place because they are! This year, the brewery teamed up with New York Comic Con and comic illustrator Jamal Igle to create a bold new character for the official beer of the convention. Billed as a super-powered beer, Brooklyn Defender IPA is a 6.7% West Coast-style India Pale Ale that’s amped out of its mind on Pilgrim, Willamette, Cascade, and Mosaic hops – and ready to take on all foes.
Piña Agria (Ft Collins, CO) – For the second year in a row, Odell Brewing is returning tropically fruit-forward Cellar Series release and we’re pretty psyched about it. Offered in 750ml cork & cage finished bottles, Odell Piña Agria is a tart and vaguely funky 6.5% ABV Sour Ale with a bright pineapple character.
The Late-Summer Pumpkin Parade Continues (Baltimore, MD) – This week’s addition to the “we don’t care that it’s still summer” pumpkin parade comes from our friends at Heavy Seas. Heavy Seas Great’er Pumpkin is a 10% Imperial Ale with pumpkin and spices that’s aged to perfection in Bourbon barrels.
Making Waves (Austin, TX) – Jester King recently announced their newest collaboration with Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales. Described as an ode to the pioneering nature of Jolly Pumpkin, their ethereal approach to brewing and brewed with well water, Blacklands Malt and hops, Jester King Space Waves is a 5.6% ABV blended Farmhouse Ale brewed with lime salt and re-fermented with Michigan cherries.
Pucker Up (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales is releasing their first ever bottled Sour that’s a tribute Rogue’s late founder Jack Joyce and his love of Hawaii. Available on September 1st Rogue Paradise Pucker a Hawaiian-inspired Sour Ale brewed with passion fruit, orange and guava.
