, Newbies – 5 Summer Craft Beers You Need NowNew Partner Ships, Ships (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer recently released the latest from their collaborative Partner Ships Series which they brewed with Terrapin Beer. Aged in wine barrels for over sixteen weeks Partner Ships Collaboration Series #3: Rye Wit is a 7.25% ABV ale with a light fruity nose and a spicy malt backbone.

Blue Buried (Denver, CO) – Crooked Stave has a new Artisan Beer Project Series release that sounds awesome. Building upon the Petite Sour Blueberry beers with upwards of 3 times more fruit, Crooked Stave L’Brett d’Blueberry is a 6% ABV blend of Golden Sour beer from various barrels, which was additionally aged with 3,500 lbs. of fruit in the brewery’s large oak foeders.

California Style (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing is returning their popular birthday beer and it’s a style that they’ve never brewed before. AleSmith Decadence 2016 is a massive 9.5% ABV Imperial California Common which was inspired by Anchor Brewing’s Steam Beer and amped up to 11.

A Transatlantic Collaboration (Chico, CA & Augsburg, Germany) –Sierra Nevada has collaborated with 630-year-old Bavarian craft brewer Riegele to produce a rare beer seldom seen in Germany…an American Pale Ale. The limited edition release, Bayerisch Ale 2, was brewed in Riegele’s Augsburg brewery using three of their special yeast strains; two types of malt; and a combination of Amarillo, Citra, Cascade and Simcoe hops. The result is a complex, unfiltered Bavarian-made American Pale Ale that’s being released exclusively in German and European markets beginning this month.
