So many beers- So little time… With last weekend’s clocks “springing forward” and the weather warming everywhere, spring is in the air – and we’ve some “changing seasons” offerings you should know about. Plus we’ve some great new releases from Ska and Flying Dog that you’ll want to get you’re sweaty little hands on.
Feverish (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog has just introduced a new year-round offering that first debuted as part of their acclaimed Brewhouse Rarities Series. Fever Dream Mango Habanero IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale brewed (obviously) with Habanero spice and mango.
Hops From Oz (Bend, OR) – One of our favorite breweries, Crux Fermentation Project is now canning one of their most popular beers – and we’re happy they finally are. Brewed using the Galaxy hop from Australia, a country famously populated by England’s “cast out” convicts, Crux Cast Out IPA is a 7.6% hop-forward India Pale Ale, tethered to a sturdy malt backbone.
St Patrick’s Day Is This Week (San Francisco, CA) – And Anchor Brewing has returned a popular Argonaut Collection release just in time for your celebrations. Anchor Flying Cloud San Francisco Stout is a 7.4% ABV traditional Dublin-style Export Stout and it’s out there now, on draft and in 12oz bottles – so you know what to do!
There Will Be Blood (Petaluma, CA) – Lagunitas has just released the first in their 2016 One Hitter Series. Lagunitas Citrusinensis Pale Ale is a 7.9% ABV take on a wheatier version of their New Dogtown IPA juiced to the gills with Sangquinello Blood Oranges.
Get Creamed (Durango, CO) – With the getting warmer we like our stouts a little lighter and more sessionable and Ska Brewing has a year-round that more than fits the bill. Ska Steel Toe Milk Stout is a 5.5% refresher, with a rich tan head and sweet creamy mouthfeel.
